I ran seven of eight years ago. I think many would run but they too perhaps
believe they can't beat the lifers Ed

Perhaps you should run by petition or encourage your friends
to run by petition so that someone new is on the Board. Next year, there
will be fewer people on the Board.
Most people donât want to run because of the time commitment
and itâs a volunteer organization. One can only vote from the pool of
available people.
ALL elected positions only have one objective.... to get
re-elected. Voters can only choose from the people who are on the
ballot.

Who's
running. Or is it who's on first......okay now I'm about to get The Admin
upset. Politics is a big NO NO on the list but I need to make a political
reference to make my point. I truly believe the biggest problem with the way
our
federal government ( Congress) is the fact that the most important objective is
to be re-elected not making our country a better place to be.....we belong to a
club of members who share a common interest and goal in promoting the health
well being and sport of the German Shepherd Dog.Why we continue to recycle the
same board members year after year until they either get too old to run or they
just decide not to is something I just don't understand.Im not saying these
lifers are not excellent board directors Im saying there are others who are
willing and able and should be given the chance to serve as well. To pick a
number lets say 10 years . Why is this not enough time for some one to serve?
And I am NOT bashing any current board member, but I
bet over half of
them have been on the board at one time or another over ten years. I won't vote
for life's no matter who they are. Term limits will make our club
stronger. To answer my second question , Who's on first? Well it's
the same Board directors that have been on first for years and
