This is all starting to remind me of the old story of the guy and his hot dog
stand. He was poorly educated but made the best dogs in town and he was
successful enough to raise a family and get his son a good education. He had
been doing good business for some time and then things slowed. His son, just
graduated from college, told him he had to cut expenses. So first he cut
advertising. Sales weakened more. Then he switched to fewer condiments. Fewer
sales. Then cheaper buns. Then cheaper dogs. Then he closed his business as
nobody bought because the product sucked.

right now, the way this board is "ruling" the club is about as transparent
as mud. perhaps they should have mentioned that the review is NOT a losing
venture, that it breaks even or makes a profit and has done so with the
exception of, i believe, a small loss 2 years ago. perhaps the board ought
to cut THEIR OWN administrative expenses before they, again, take what little
is left away from the membership. perhaps certain members of the board
need to wake up to the reality that insulting and demeaning the membership
in an open session of a board meeting is not only crass and stupid but
downright insulting. bottom line, this board has pulled the proverbial wool
over too many members' eyes for the last time.
