Don't change the discussion to "should we use it." The point is, WE
HAVE IT.
I'll try to put this in English. Thinking of your auto policy, since you
brought that up, if you have enough wrecks and you are at fault, or if you
receive "x" number of speeding tickets, or receive DUIs your policy won't be
renewed.
This is what's known as a "non-guaranteed renewable policy". It's really
not hard.
When shopping for this type of policy, an underwriter will ask about the
claims experience of the person or entity shopping for insurance. Too many
claims and the policy is a decline.
Simple really.
Now as for the economics as to how insurance companies make money, really, I
thought you'd know better. It isn't by not paying claims, it's on
investments.
