I hope you are both right on this.
I fear I can't be quite as optimistic because I've seen many, many specialty
clubs over the years who struggle to hold their shows w/ the burden falling
on one or two more senior members who quickly burn out. Now when you add
being a superintendent to the mix you are really stretching things:(
At least w/ a super in place, you KNOW it's going to get done. I've been
frustrated w/ Rau over the years, but when you dig deeper, you realize they
can't get things out until they get the information in house. I'd give them a
"B" overall and having worked w/ other supers and many clubs who have tried to
generate their own premiums, mailing lists, acknowledgements, catalogs etc.,
"B" is looking pretty good indeed.
So, I hope we don't burn the worker bees out and that newbies do indeed step
up to the plate.

Bill is right. When the Club is responsible for doing the work for the
Futurity, it gets members more involved. And it also gets them more
involved in
the Parent Club and we really need that these days.
