Many corporations are doing frequent web conferences (where all participants
have cameras and can share each other's computer desk tops) mixed in with
occasional in-person meetings. The cost for unlimited web conferencing with
25 participants or less is only about $50 per month and the participants can
see and share together.
Had you considered that some sort of mix - monthly "inbetween" Board
meetings with 2-3 face-to-face meetings per year might be workable? We run
a pretty big endeavor for the Board to only meet 4 times per year.
