Does anyone know the actual figures behind the decision to move next years' National from Kentucky to Kansas? We were told it was a monetary decision, but what was the actual cost difference? Did we lose anything (besides reputation) by breaking contracts in Kentuky? Also, how much money have we made/lost at the last few Nationals? I know that creative accounting can push expenses around, so it is hard to really tell where monies were spent, but hopefully there are clear breakdowns somewhere. I am becoming convinced that we, the club members, need to have access to the club meetings without having to be physically present. With today's technology, there is no excuse for not making the meeting available. Maybe we need to elect a "member advocate" who would go to the meeting for we the people and send us info as it occurs.
