Linda raises one of my main concerns.
There is no reason for a closed session. If you are worried about others
knowing how you vote, don't vote. If you think an issue might embarrass
someone, don't bring it up.
We are a club. We, the members, should know everything that is going on. Closed
sessions of our board may make it more comfortable to say things, but in that
case, they should not be said.
If someone brings charges against me, I want it in open session, and I want to
hear what everyone has to say.
After practicing law for over 35 years, I have never seen anything done in
secret that would not have been better in the open air.

John Bemont will be running for President. I mailed the petitions to Joy
Schultz and she has confirmed all the requirements have been met to appear on
the ballot.
I think the list has submitted some excellent questions for the upcoming
election. I would love to see a question put forth to those running in
leadership roles regarding transparency.
I am sure the list can come up with some great questions for President and Vice
President regarding improved communication and input from the membership.
