I feel like it's important for all board members to attend all meetings, and I think that is probably everyone's intent when things start out. Unfortunately some things get in the way, like HURRICANES and sick dogs, and that's why we have other board members who can fill in. Thank goodness we recognize we are all volunteers and things happen - so we work together! If we want to enforce attendance at board meetings, we need to put it back in the bylaws. Until then, I don't understand how that can be enforced - maybe someone can explain it to me.
