Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder. 

I have AKC lines, Black and Red.  I have everything you say you have in my 
lines which btw are bred solely for service dog work and will work day in and 
day out tirelessly. The one I chose to show is a CH, others would be if I had 
the money to show. I have no epilepsy, hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, EPI, 
Bloat, DM, or any other health factor linked to my dogs or any of their many 
offspring. Why? It is how you choose to breed and who you breed to, not whether 
you breed American or German that determines how sound your dogs are!!! JMHO
