[ SHOWGSD-L ] Bittersweet end to 2013

My wish to all the members of the GSD Fancy is for a wonderful New Year.
I am so happy that several members, and friends of the breed from the St. Louis 
area
joined me in "adopting" a Desert Storm Vet, and his GSD Service Dog puppy, 
Patton
for Christmas. We were able to supply some larger crates for the pup to grow in 
to,
Purina donated ProPlan, and Patton got some toys.
I received a devastating phone call Christmas morning from my little brother.
My beloved sister, Joyce died suddenly of a massive heart attack. She was buried
New year's Eve day, and I was able  to get home safely to my dogs here in 
central Missouri
before the snow began. I was able to spend the whole day with my sister at the 
GSDC of St. Louis Halloween Match
in October, She always came to the matches to see us, and all the pups.
So many of my GSD friends have been there for me the past few days, and I love 
them all.
