Last month I had an interesting conversation with a longtime Golden breeder, over the years she had noticed that the bithes she had bred over the years that REALLY blew their coats (down to naked) before their season seemed to have larger litters. Has anyone made similar observations with their bitches? Our Jakester daughter blew everything 2 months before her heats, we only bred her once and had a litter of 8. I'm curious, seems to make sense.... good high levels of hormones trigger the coat blow?
