Whoever said that winners don't matter because Best Puppy is not a
regular class...WRONG!
Best Puppy should NOT be awarded to a puppy that has been
beaten--regular or not. In this case, the RWB was from 9-12...so
the 6-9 puppy bitch was ineligible for best puppy, or for Best Opposite
puppy, either.
And that's the way it is done at ALL AKC shows...regular class or
not. Just like match shows...AKC rules have to be followed.
Sorry to come back to this confusion.........I was in Arizona judging
something else, and just reading the blog when I could........
congratulations to the winners and condolences to the
losers..............but it might be a good idea if people learned the rules
before proceeding further.
