I do not require neutering of males and in fact discourage it. If they are
adament about it, I ask them to please wait until 18 months. Pet bitches -
whole other story. I want them spayed at 6 months. I've spayed 3 bitches
at 7. One died at 10 of mammary cancer. One lived to 12 1/2 and the third
turned 13 in Feb and is still going strong. I'll most likely also spay
Panda after one more litter. She turned 6 in March. My corgi has a spay
appt on Thursday. Doesn't bother me if others follow a different practice
though. ; )
