[ SHOWGSD-L ] Bertha and bloat

She is going to be fine, the vets feels she is recovering well from surgery.
My husband has not actually paid many vet bills, and we all know this was a
big one. All he can say is that we will get her back, and she does not need to
be stressed again.
Tomorrow I will take her to my regular vet office for the day. But I have
experience with IV's and dogs and plan to have her home tomorrow evening for
the rest of her IV therapy. Then a very slow return to normal life.
I will finish processing the show data by her crate, and I will take my lap
top off of the electricty and use the battery to stay in touch.
I want to thank all of you who expressed concern.
Yes, I knew what I was looking at as soon as I saw it. I am glad I did not
go out to dinner with the exhibitors, much fun as that would have been. And I
am glad that I was quick to pull the trigger and panic. The emergency clinic I
used has been just great about my phone calls and my expression of my knowledge.
I only hope the my vet's sub will take me at my word too.
