Hi Evan,
I have only opened up emails this afternoon after a few days away from the
list so for all I know someone else may have already responded. . I know
that you want everyone to have a true and accurate picture of what happened
at the Board Meeting in July. Therefore, please know that the information
you posted to the list as received from a Board Member about the closed door
session is distorted. It does not portray a true, accurate, nor clear
picture of what occurred and why it occurred. It is the duty and
responsibility of the Board to safe guard everyone.

As Ralph Roberts told me when we were on the board together, the

from the closed door sessions takes as long to get out as it takes to open
the door. We don't worry about sinking ships, unless we are at war. I am

at war with our board, and I doubt they think they are at war with us.
I also was told by a board member what went on at the closed door session.
I don't know if it was true, but I was told that Gail Sprock was not
allowed
to be in the session even though she was on the Review Committee, (maybe
rightly so, since she is not a board member.)
I was also told that Gail wrote a letter to each board member, and
expressed
her strong concerns that Susan should not be given the editor's contract.
I
was also told that Susan made it clear she would not stop showing dogs,
even
if she became the editor. Understand, I personally support Susan. This
is
just what I was told.
Perhaps Lew can let us know if the information I received was incorrect.
It
is important that the members of this club, and those who might consider
becoming members have as much information as they can, so that they can
make
informed opinions when they elect our board members in the future.
I think our board works very hard for us, and does a great job. But, being
elected to the board, or any other position does not make one immune from
criticism. As a matter of fact, it probably makes you more responsible for
your
opinions, and responsibility. I respect this board and know they work hard
to
do what they think is right. Perhaps that is why five of our board members
refused to vote. Or, perhaps that information is wrong too.
