My sister's house is destroyed. She has absolutely nothing left from her
house, lost 2 cars, she and her husband and son have been eating MRE's from
FEMA since the hurricane and she's living in one pair of shoes, shorts and
two t-shirts.
Nevertheless, she still has a lot more than most people around her do (Good
job, family intact, etc.) -she lives on the water in Bridge City, about 30
miles from Beaumont.
When you're at the national, keep in mind there is a lot of suffering still
in the surrounding area.
Keeping on topic, Tammy, my other sisters, and I grew up with German
Shepherds.
What could we do to help families who were affected?
