Good Evening Laura, and to anyone else who needs to talk negatively about
the National site/location especially when its so close to show time. 

Right now the Beaumont club is scrambling around to make sure this show is a
wonderful one.  On top of the last min. jitters they are working around an
act of God.  Nancie and Leah have busted their tails with out pay to make
sure this show goes off with out a hitch.  I am just sure you negativeness
just made their day.  You're the lucky one you either make the trip or you
don't.  To take the extra step of being negative on this list helped no one.

I am not sure if you know exactly the time and effort it takes to put on a
show of this size.  From first looking for a site and then getting the show
in writing it was about 5 years for our club.  That's club members driving
around trying to find a venue to facilitate our needs, to get a package to
present to  the site selector, then to get our site on the docket of the
National board and then the site visit and finally the vote.  Not only did
we need an appropriate location, we needed that location to have an open
date, we also needed an airport to accommodate our dogs crate sizes and
facilities for all of the events we
hold,conformation,obed.,herding,tracking,agility WD.  Plus a local club who
has the membership to help.  Oh also the host hotel needs to have enough
rooms, conference rooms and so on.  These places aren't available just
everywhere.


I am a member of the Rocky Mt. club who hosted the National last year.  We
were so very proud to have gotten the nod and worked so hard for our
National.  I will just say each and every negative comment was very hard to
read and trust me people weren't shy.  Hence my e-mail tonight.  

My hat is off to the Beaumont club and all  that have worked so hard for
this upcoming National.  I know your show will be great!

For anyone else who feels the need to say negative things about this
National or any upcoming one please don't.   You have an easy decision.  You
can either go or choose to stay at home.
