I understand the Beaumont site is lovely, however it definately has some serious drawbacks. Not only will getting 500 crates into Houston an issue, it may also be too hot to fly. The average temperature in October is 81 degrees. In November it drops some to 75 but it is not uncommon to have them up in the mid to high eighties. Most airlines will not fly dogs if the temperature on any leg of the trip is over 80 degrees. There is also a spear grass problme at that time of year, much like the foxtails in California. Not good for tracking or herding. Speaking of herding, while this applies to not that many of us, there are few herding facilities in Texas. Though that may change in three years, it will still be hot for herding. Susan Susan w.
