You can 'ride shotgun' for us anytime Emilie!!

We're cramming in a big van with friends and doggies......watch for us in
the passing lane. <G>

Maybe the thing to do would be to just stay home? We have been criticized
for being excited about coming to Beaumont while there are people who chose
to live on the water in a hurricane prone area and now need help. We are
being criticized for the so-called hurricane season.

I drove through a really heavy snow storm on my way to Colorado last year.
Some may think that dangerous, risky, foolish, or just plain inconvenient.
I thought it was totally cool.

We rushed home after the National because Southern California was on fire.
We survived, had a great time, and have more wonderful memories.

If you are so darned afraid to live, just stay home and hope an airplane
doesn't drop an engine on your bedroom roof as you sleep!!
Stuff happens, everywhere and every time. We are all dying; get over it and
enjoy whatever time you have left.

I don't understand such negativity, and never will.

I live in so-called earthquake country, California....but...the worst
earthquake the contiguous 48 States ever experienced was on the New Madrid
Fault in the Midwest....it changed the course of the Mississippi River, for
  heavens sake!!

I am much more afraid of people than weather and Nature!!! And I refuse to
let that very real, and very justified, fear keep me home.

Beaumont or Bust!! Let the rains come; let the Parade of Greats occur; let
  our dogs win!!!!

  Paula, 34 days and counting

well here we go again, other states have tornados, earthquakes, flooding,
snow storms,,,,,,if we had to consider all acts of god we would never find
  a site.

Thanks Amy.....might note a tornado went through Ohio last year right
around the time the nationals will bet here next year......weather just
  happens.
When someone figures out how to control, we would love to know.
