Lea: Thank you for letting us know about the site. I understand the
Beaumont site is gorgeous and we would be thrilled to be there. Having been
in Texas for many years prior to moving to Kansas I can tell you the Texas
hospitality is hard to beat. The clubs are dedicated and hard working and I
know would make the Beaumont National successful.
What I find thoroughly distasteful is that the Beaumont club has done
EVERYTHING and then some that has been asked of them regarding this matter.
For some on the Board to have been thinking all along that they would not go
there and yet ask for all this is wrong. I do know that the big rush is now
because the next installment is due in June of 2007 of $6,500 to abide by
the contract terms that were signed by Bill Pfeiffer as Treasurer, Ken
Downing as Budget and Finance Chair and Ginny Altman as President after a
unanimous vote by the Board. Patty
