[ SHOWGSD-L ] Beaucerons..To AKC or Not to AKC

Many dog breed organizations have decided not to pursue AKC accreditation for
that reason...and others. My neighbors, (Coton Du Tulear), is in the midst
of a breed fight to NOT get in AKC, Jack Russel Terriers...No, thank you, AKC.
Peggy, aren't there Cavalier clubs who refuse AKC's blessings?
The reasoning that I have heard is just what Evan said...that no matter the
written standard, once they are in the show ring, it's the winners that develop
the breed, not the standard.
The difference between the field Irish Setter and the field Goldens and Labs.
They may all fit the standard, but oh, the difference!
