I know someone who thought it was cute that all the local raccoons would
come and eat out of her dogs and cats dishes that were left outside. It was,
they were adorable to watch until her very vaccinated GSD had to be put down
because of rabies. You can't push it down their throats and expect a vaccine to
protect them. She lost all her outside cats also, we never knew where they
went but it's a pretty sure bet that they were rabid also. Hard lesson to
learn,
he was one of those "special" dogs.
