I, to have one dog who barks for no reason at all....she is really getting
annoying. To date she has managed to kill 2 rabbits and several birds along
with her partner in crime. They still look for the rabbit but do not
realize that they have managed to destroy it and there is nothing left for
them to kill except maybe the cat that has decided to make its life here at
my house. The one dog just barks for fun I am sure of it. Its not like
they don't get any excercise or attention, they get both and have free run
of our acre and a bit. Plus walks into the woods.

Someone on the list was asking about an instrument that stops barking. I do
have a barking collar but only use it in "emergencies" as I always feel
uneasy with those (too tight, or a dog freaking out).
Anyway, just a bit ago there was an ad on TV suggesting an ultrasonic
battery powered instrument that is supposed to work well. Mind you, I have
no idea if it works but I would be willing to try it as my dogs tend to bark
excessively when company arrives.
