I guess it could be a number of things by reading this link. My vet said,
"Don't believe everything you read on line." But I've learned from that as
well. I've only had one shepherd with periodontal. Then found out her
grandmother on the sire's side had the same issue. But what drives me crazy
is I brush my dogs teeth, scale & all of the above while my friend's mutt
that has at least 7 different breeds in her DNA has perfect teeth at age 10.
And to top it off she never has brushed those teeth once. Just like us, they

Subject: BAD breath
For the last 2-3 years Kierk has had bad breath. It's getting worse all
the time. It's not teeth and no vet I've gone to can explain why. I've
tried different dog foods and it doesn't seem to make a difference
Any body out there have any suggestions?
