is always sad when a club has to ask for help to build a major. But I just love it when those "filler" dogs are in small classes and can get a ribbon. I remember once when a long coated male obedience dog was the only one in the novice class and I gave him a blue ribbon. Both the dog and the owner when home with a big smile on their faces and so did I. I also remember being chewed out at the Louisville specialty (by friends?) for giving a pet quality bitch and a first time handler a 3rd place ribbon. She was so happy and learned something and no one got hurt by it I think one of the first thing new judges have to learn is to do their own thing and if others don't like it " too bad -so sad" You only have to make your self happy and some one will always complain and think you are a crook no matter what you do Sally www.embroiderybysally.org ============================================================================ POST is Copyrighted 2008.
