Luckily we are connected with an all breed show this weekend. And thanks to
the hard work of Joannie Intersimone, we have judges that can judge other
breeds, I'm sure that helps. Unfortunately it is hard to get really good
specialty judges in connection with the all breed shows that can judge other
breeds. It seems for specialty shows to succeed these days you have to have a
minimum of three shows a weekend and it is very difficult to get three
specialty judges that are willing to come or have not judged in the area
recently.

What has helped in European countries is a show strictly devoted to youth
handlers showing your dog or my dog as it does not matter but these shows
have the same credentials as a normal show and points are given etc
I have mentioned this concept to Frank and it would be easy to implement
Perhaps a regional club (local) would be brave enough to try this as a sort
of "beta site" to see the interest but???
We definitely need a transfusion of youth!!!

That is not acceptable! Not acceptable for the hosting club, not
acceptable for the judges traveling, not acceptable for the
ringside....not acceptable for us elderly traveling to watch the show. I
will no longer drive 4 hours to watch a show that has an entry of 20 with
perhaps 16 attending. I miss my dog shows! I also find it physically
difficult flying many hours to judge 15 dogs. I am sad down to my very
toes. I so love my German Shepherds, there are no better, no more
beautiful, no smarter, no more wonderful dogs....WHAT IS WRONG WITH US
!!!!!
