At my age, i am used to sustaining a knee injury after a breeding. I just
didn't know it would also transcend to the dog i handle<G>. Thank god Mr.
Cheeks made allowances for my inadequacies and judged the dog instead of
looking for a wonderful handling exhibition. He had to wait for Evan to provide
that.
Lets just say, we don't want a replay of this, so please don't breed this Dog
to anymore bitches the week before a show as i no longer want to be dragged out
of the ring to a waiting bitch.

Our GV ARMY son.........Mar Haven's Last Cowboy Song just got his second major
and has
10 points at 19 months thanks to Judge Michael Cheeks and one very limping
handler, Bill Basu.
We just hope and pray COWBOY is even a speck of his sire's shadow!!
Had a dog limp a time or two.....but never had a handler limp before! <G>
This is one very
powerful young dog and there was a bitch in season that he had just happened to
breed two days
before the show ......and the owners had her sitting right by the upper side of
the ring unknown
to us.
Needless to say it took COWBOY 2 seconds to know she was there.........it
wasn't pretty........
COWBOY won the major but Bill Basu came away with a serious limp ....and as
Evan says he
was out-handled by Evan for Specials as Basu seriously limped around the
ring...Evan did not.
CONGRATS Evan! NICE WIN!!
I wonder if it's the dog owner's responsibility to pay for the handler's MRI ?
No matter how hard he tried.....COWBOY just couldn't make Bill Basu look good
after that.

We just drove for almost 10 hrs. from N. Calif. to S. Calif. for ONE SHOW!
We were entered in both....but due to a judge change we could not show on
Saturday according to the"4 month rule" for our handler, so we could only
show under one
Judge. Good Judges both days but with one being a Judge we could not show
under...... that
limited us to a long drive for one show.

Don't you just love it when a plan comes together. Cowboy won the major, and
this is one of the top dogs on the West coast. You heard it from Norma, now
you can hear it from me. It made my weekend. He could have won Best
Opposite
Sex, but the dog was out-handled by the other handler.
