My wonderful girl, CH Cassie finished her MX this past weekend in agility.
An MX is a MASTER AGILITY EXCELLENT title. Three weeks ago, Cassie also
finished her MXJ (MASTER EXCELLENT JUMPERS WITH WEAVES).
Cassie is the third GSD breed champion to earn an MX and the FIRST to earn
both an MX and an MXJ. The MX title is from the Standard Class and the MXJ
is
from the Jumpers With Weaves Class. These are two separate classes and two
titles. To earn a Master level title, you have to have already earned an
Excellent (advanced) level title. Then, you continue to compete and you
have to
earn 10 more legs. A qualifying leg at this level of competition in both
Standard & JWW MUST be a perfect score of 100 and the dog must be fast,
completing the course in less than the allotted time.
My girl is now: PAM CH Carousel Farms Caisson MX MXJ TD PT RN TC OFAh&e,
better known as "Cassie"! Cassie will continue to run agility as long as
she
wants to play, which we both hope will be for a very long time. This past
weekend she also earned her first leg for AKC's newest agility title, the
FAST
class.
Cassie is by Am/Can Sel CH Pinebuck's Kidd Carson ROM and out of AOE Sel CH
Carousel Farms Samantha PT TC. My family and I are MOST grateful to
Cassie's
incredible breeders and my very good friends, Chris Kimerer and Nicky & Lew
Bunch. Chris, Nicky & Lew, let me have a wonderful girl and they gave her a
great start. Nicky bought tunnels, jump bars, and even had small pyramid
set
of stairs built for the puppies to play on. By the time I picked up Cassie,
she already loved her tunnels and other "agility toys"! Chris, Lew & Nicky
have ALL been supportive for every leg of every title that Cassie has
earned.
They've been excited and listened to a blow by blow description of every
run. I have been blessed with great GSD breeders and mentors and I wish
everyone could be so lucky.
