You might want to do some home work before giving a dog something different. The result you see is from ingesting too much bone without enough meat to balance it out. They should have 10 % bone and 80% meat with any accompanying skin and connective tissue. If he is uncomfortable , give him some organ meats as this will loosen things up naturally. One of the perks of raw feeding is the occasional hard stool that causes mild straining because this will express the anal glands naturally. So next time he gets edible bone make sure there is enough meat with it. Bet he got a good tooth cleaning ;-)) ~S Fred & Donna Velten <vhvgsd@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: here is one for you, someone who has one of my 5 year old males decided giving him a cow knee bone would be a good thing the dog is now pooping what looks like chalk and it is staining the deck and wooden floors.......................if this from the bone?????? fred ============================================================================ POST is Copyrighted 2007.
