Yes, there are ton of issues to be worked out. Like anything in life, not
everyone is going to be happy with the outcome.
This was the first BOD meeting I was able to attend. I saw a board that was
passionate about finding solutions, even if
they didn't all agree on what would be the best solution. I saw people
passionate about the breed and that is what
matters the most. I also saw the board listened to the membership and
reinstated Faturity plaques. These folks are
trying to do the right thing. Increase membership and entries, cut costs and
get focused in the right direction.
I don't agree with many of the decisions but I do agree with the big picture.
I really thought there would be a bigger turn out from the CA people. I was
dissappointed. Locations are a big issue,
yet not many felt passionate enough to show support for a CA location. I urge
anyone passionate about the GSD to
attend any BOD meeting that comes to your area. It is an amazing education.
All that said, Casino Night was a blast! I won play money I wish was real
,LOL! Darn, I thought I was the winner of the
prize :-) I played craps for the first time and the dealers were awesome!
What an education. I don't gamble but it sure
was fun.
Thank you Evan for putting on this wonderful event. It was fun and I'm going
to impress my Dad with my craps skills
the next time he forces me to go to a casino, LOL!
