Just wanted to let you guys know what the Brandon Kennel Club of Mississippi
is doing locally to promote responsible dog ownership.... A copy of our
press release is posted below........This program is not difficult, since MS
SPAN does the legwork with the individuals...We provide the money, and also
a local vet that does the surgeries.........So for all of you who are
members of clubs with money to donate, and a spay/neuter organization
already in place...consider starting your own program........We are against
mandatory spay/neuter, so promoting voluntary s/n is a good thing!!

LOW COST SPAY/NEUTER FOR RANKIN COUNTY DOGS
BRANDON, MS
Residents of Rankin County can have their dogs spayed or neutered in Brandon
for as little as $20.00 as part of a local effort to reduce the numbers of
homeless pets.
The Brandon Kennel of Mississippi will work with the statewide spay and
neuter organization, Mississippi Spay & Neuter (MS SPAN) to provide these
services. Residents of Rankin County with household incomes of $28,000 or
less can participate.
The Brandon Kennel Club of Mississippi is a group of dog lovers who organize
and participate in activities such as dog shows, obedience, agility, and
field trials. "By providing this funding, our goal is to help reduce the
numbers of unwanted and abandoned dogs by promoting responsible dog
ownership," said Brandon Kennel club president, Cyndi Flautt.
Rankin County residents interested in spay/neuter are urged to call MS SPAN
toll free at 1-866-901-7729 to schedule an appointment for their dog(s).
