a history lesson; Westminster is the oldest Dog Club in America. It is older
then AKC. Westminster had club colors of purple and gold. When AKC organized
Dog Shows they selected the BOB colors as Purple and Gold in Honor of
Westminster. Dog BEST IN SHOW ROSETTES are RED WHITE AND BLUE.But since this
show is limited to Champions only they can award with AKC permission any other
awards they choose.
