How long did it take you to totally misconstrue my post and twist it into
something it wasn't intended to be? five minutes..and hour? Remarkable.
Just to clarify for you. this was a thread on "awards" not about greatness
of a certain dog or pedigrees, or which came first the chicken or the egg.
Bear was a classic example of a dog who many thought should go GV and did
not, yet he did achieve greatness in his producing ability. Since you
opened up this can of worms..each dog must stand on his own merit as a
producer. If you breed enough good dogs you soon learn that animals that
share an identical pedigree do not produce the same, nor do some produce as
their pedigree would indicate that they would. So when it is all said and
done, I am not certain what your point was, other than you felt Jesse James
was slighted by my using Sundance Kid as my example of a dog who didn't not
achieve the ultimate conformation award, but did achieve the ultimate as a
producer.. next time I will be certain to attach a copy of the whole
pedigree back to Hektor when I comment on a dog, so as not to leave anyone
