I'd want to know more details before making that judgement. Recently, a
police dog here was sent to hold a violently angry truck driver who went out
of
control about losing his job. As the dog rounded the truck, the truck
driver
dropped to the ground in surrender, and the dog hit a member of the swat
team who was closing in. Of course, the whole thing was live on TV, so the
police force put out a public statement. The dog was actually doing what he
was trained to do, and the swat team member had forgotten that he was
supposed to freeze when a dog was being sent.
You can't expect a dog to automatically know which of two people in a
fight he is being sent after, if both are behaving in an aggessive or
agitated
manner.
