The German Shepherd Dog was once known as just Shepherd Dog
here without the German name in front as America decided to drop the German
name but returned it but did not with the Spitz. I am sure you remember this
as the German Shepherd Review use to be just Shepherd Dog Review as were
Shepherd Dog in the AKC Stud Book Registries.
