I hate to pick on Laura, but I think more than anything else, this is the  
problem.
 
You should ask for a stud dog with a great shoulder, or one that opens in  
the rear, or look for one with a strong back, or maybe excellent pigment.
 
Asking to find a German stud dog to breed to, is going to do nothing to  
improve your offspring, other than to give them a title from the parents.
 
Now, I know Laura better than that, and she is looking always to improve  
the lines with what she breeds. But no one should even imply that they want 
to  breed to German lines, or dogs from New England, or only dogs that speak  
Spanish.
 
I know there are people that do breed that way, and do nothing other than  
increase the pet populations.
 
Every single litter should be for the purpose of finding a great show dog,  
either conformation or work, or perhaps for guide dogs, or something of 
reason.  To breed because of a country or origin, is of little value.
