Thanks for posting these articles, Ginger. I hope everyone will read them
carefully. I did, and I will never look at the phrase "responsible breeder" in
quite the same way again. As a social scientist, I should have been more aware
of the labeling issue.
The articles are also a reminder that our board members, including the ones
that we believe to have voted YES, make valuable contributions to our
organization. Let's not define them totally by our disappointment on this vote.
Personally, since he is our leader and did not vote, I wish Lew would step
forward and clarify the position(s) of the YES voters so we could understand
(and maybe even appreciate) why anyone would vote YES. Then, Ginger, I would
be ready to put this to rest. But I need to understand what happened first.
