This is a great post! To me this is the perfect description of a great time
at a Dog Show.
I agree with all of what Bill says........( except I wouldn't know about the
cookies because he
always eats ours if they are chocolate!! )
We all go to win......winning is a big piece of the puzzle....but it is a
montage of enjoying great
dogs, great people with the same passion, talking dogs, talking family,
joking around, laughing
a lot whether we win or not.......and we all usually agree when a truly
deserving dog wins!!
Most of us always appreciate good judging whether we win or not. We all are
used to losing!
Many of us all work extremely hard to get a dog bred, raised, trained.
conditioned and ready, and
it isn't always easy to get to a show........and laughing a lot is what brings
most of us back. If the
laughing is also because we win... is definitely the frosting on the cake we
all are after!
Can't deny the sheer joy of watching a much loved dog win!! Makes a shorter
trip home...<G>

Fun is provided by seeing beautiful dogs whether they be mine or those
handled by others.
Fun is provided by competing against other dogs and handlers ( Competition

Fun is joking around and sharing "lies" and "stories" with my friends
Fun is talking "dogs" with other people who enjoy talking dogs

passion, although they may see things differently, the diversity of opinion is
a source of fun.
Winning is the icing on the cake, but Winning without all the ingredients
that i've written above is a hollow and lonely victory and would not bring me
to dogs shows by itself. So FUN is a key ingredient for me.
