So I read all of the post on Denver. We have placed several puppies in the
Denver AREA, (not sure if Denver proper) and attend several ALL Breed shows as
well as one specialty show there every year.(in downtown Denver at a park next
to the host Hotel) The Colorado Cluster shows held at the Denver Stock
Pavillion every February is, I believe, one of the top six largest shows in the
country and my observation is MANY of the exhibitors are local folks.(I'm
thinkin they're breeding?) We have always found very pet friendly hotels and
motels and have never been warned off about Draconian dog laws or enforcement.
I do know there is a breed specific ban in Denver but I have not seen it
applied so do not know personally of it's harshness but I have a friend here in
SW Colorado who has a nice S.T. that had to leave the city do to the ban and my
friend adopted her. She wasn't killed just adopted out to a different area when
the owners could not deal with it. I don't think it's right, not trying to say
so, just not as draconian as some of the post suggest.
