The situation with eBay and the Baby Carter fund seems to have all the makings of a good news story. Does anyone have any connections with 20-20, Dateline or even a daytime talkshow (like Oprah, etc)? EBay might be inclined to make a generous reconsideration if they were approached for a response on a story about a serious ill baby, a group of concerned friends putting together an ebay auction, an extended nationwide response to raise the needed funds, then having everything thrown into a tailspin because of a well-meaning and innocent mistake that was misinterpreted by eBay. In a story of a huge, wealthy organization pitted against a sick child and concerned friends, they might choose to ease up on their hard line response.
