[ SHOWGSD-L ] Any Ideas?

My Dad's has a 8 yr old GSD bitch, who recently has lost weight. He took her
in the vets and they said they could feel that her liver and spleen where
enlarged. They did blood work, that came back fine. So they sent him for a
digital x-ray and that didn't show any tumors. But did show their original
findings of enlarged spleen and liver.
She has never been a great eater. Basically she is one that knows my father
will go thru hoops to make her eat. You know the kind. ;0) Her weight has
always been fine though.
Her activity is fine, no vomiting...
His options where exploratory surgery, or just watch and see.
I was wondering tick born things? are these signs for lymphoma?
They didn't even take her temp.
I love these offices, they charge you a 40+ office visit and no temp,no
nails.....nothing.
any ideas?
