Let's face it. If you work hard enough, know what you are doing and have a real German shepherd, you can train them to win a performance degree. These animals are competent, bright, and able to do the work, if we show them how. To have a champion, you have to breed in the structure. That structure is what allows them to work, to herd, to do schutzhund and to do obedience. Form is what does it all, and form is what makes a champion. Breeding is what is going to continue the breed, and breeding champions is how you know your have succeeded. That is why champions is how we keep score, and make those pillars. Although as I recall, pillars don't move very well. But, they last a long time.
