Evan, I'm pretty sure that during my years on the Board and when I was
President, the Treasurer was not paid.

Is it not amazing that the GSDCA has survived for 17 years now, without a
reserve of $583,000? I remember when I was on the board, the reserves were
more like $800,000. Tom Sherman, (when he was treasurer), said we should have
a year's expenses in reserve. I doubt our expenses are that high any more.
Tom was the last treasurer we didn't have to pay. At that time it was voted to
have a treasurer with experience, and to pay for it. I was against it because
we had so many willing to do it as a volunteer, but I was outvoted.
But, what the hell do I know, and who cares what I think?
