First GSD was around 1966....an import with some missing teeth. Great dog
but not for showing.
Next came a bitch from Hessan Kennels and a male from Dornwald Kennels ( a
Ch. Fels
Son). Later a bitch from Liebestraum Kennel.
Moved to NH and bought a Harrigan son from the Mesdags.
Moved to WA State ....lost the Von Nassau male. In 1981, bought a puppy
bitch from
a Dr. I worked with. She was primarily German breeding. Her name was Halla
and she became the foundation bitch for Bedkar GSD...qualified for her ROM/C.
From her offspring and grand offspring, we have had five top ranked dogs in
various years, with multiple BIS and BISS winners in Canada and the US. Halla
also had 3 ROM daughters and one one ROMC son. To date, we have finished 23
AKC Ch. and 44 Can. Ch.
We also have had 2 Cardigan Welsh Corgis, one Pembroke WC and one Shar Pei.
Throw in a truck load of cats and 2 horses......and cows, chickens, ducks and
pheasants
As of today, we have 6 GSD.
I guess that's it.
