NOTICE OF HEARING ON PROPOSED DOG LICENSE FEE INCREASES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors will conduct a public
hearing on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. (previously scheduled for
April 25, 2006) in Room 381B, Hall of Administration, 500 West Temple
Street, Los Angeles, California 90012 for the purpose of hearing testimony
relative to the adoption of amendments to establish a mandatory spay and
neuter program for dogs, increase license fees for dogs, and to require that
all dogs be implanted with an identifying microchip.
The Board of Supervisors will consider and may adopt the increase in the
unaltered dog license fee from $30 to $60, and the increase in the altered
dog license fee from $15 to $20. Notice is given that the Board of
Supervisors may continue this hearing from time to time.
Any person wishing to be heard on this matter may appear and make a
presentation before the Board of Supervisors at the hearing regarding the
proposed fees. Written comments may be sent to the Executive Office of the
Board of Supervisors at the above address.
The proposed fees will be on file and available for review at the Clerk of
the Board, Room 383, Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration, 500 West Temple
Street, Los Angeles, California 90012, or at the Department of Animal Care
and Control, Executive Office 5898 Cherry Avenue, Long Beach, California
90805, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
