Please, please, please monitor your local situation. This year has already
started off with an abundance of HSUS-backed bills. They currently have
breeder bills in 34 states and are hoping to win all of them. If you hear
about something, say something. If you don't know who to contact in your
club or state, then please contact AKC at

right hand corner. Please provide as much information as you can,
preferably a link to the bill itself, and a timeline of activity if you know
it. No one can help you unless you help yourselves. Locally we just (this
morning) became aware of a pet limit ordinance being proposed that will be
heard and adopted tonight. In MT they have a hearing on a bill today.
People, that's just not enough time to get organized, get the word out, give
people a chance to respond, or make plans to attend a hearing.
If you don't keep your ears to the ground you will never hear them coming.
