[ SHOWGSD-L ] Anal gland question

For those of you who have had the anal glands removed, have you had any
post-op complications? Poor Gunther, with the ruptured anal gland, is still
having
problems. I am considering having the glands removed. However, in
researching this, I see that loose bowels and incontinence can be a problem due
to all
the nerve endings in that area. I have already changed his diet, added more
fiber and meaty bones. He goes back to the vet on Friday. Any advice and
suggestions would be appreciated.
