It should be taken away because something dangerous is in it, or you need to put something in it. I won't tolerate my dog growling at me for foolish things, and I CAN take anything I need to from him (including high valued RMBs and pig ears), but taking things away just to "test" the dog or what have you? Good way to get bit IMO, and not the dog's fault. - Jackie I don't think anyone said just to "test" the dog. You do it when they are young to get them used to it in case of a serious situation when you NEEd to when they are an adult. I don't take it away from them just to an a-- .
