Actually, that is more common than you realize, Terry. I know of several
healthy pups being whelped after a clean-out shot, a day later. Lots are born
a day later, without a clean-out shot, as well.

I had this happen one time. It was a female, the pups were coming so fast that
Ruth just wrapped her in a towel and set her aside. after what seemed like way
too long she came around and darn near jumped out of the whelping box. Ruth
help
me out here . I have also had a mom whelp a live pup 24 hours after the last
clean out shot. That really is a surprise!
