Climb Kilamanjaro

Try Mt. Whitney first. It is about an hour's drive from your home.

I climbed it a couple of years ago, (I think four) and while I was resting
to get some air, (there isn't any after you get above the timber line), some
people came by that said they had climbed Kilamanjaro, and Mt. Whitney was
more difficult. I didn't ask them in what way, since not breathing made
talking impossible.

It is an interesting hike. We started at 4:00 a.m. with helmet lights. I
finished about 2:00 p.m. when I realized that in my earlier life I had gotten
used to breathing, and without air, I lost interest. I don't plan to do it
again.
